Q: Do I have to attend the entire conference?
A: The conference is important professional development weekend. While at the Pharmacy Leadership Conference all attendees must participate in every aspect of the event. This is a great opportunity for social networking and connecting through the workshops and social events.
Q: Do I get paid for attending?
A: Registrants attending the conference will remain whole with respect to their weekly pay. Please speak to your Regional Director if you have any specific questions.
No one loses salary to attend the event, however because the event is part business and part pleasure there will be no overtime. Any days at the event before or after the specific dates would be personal and either vacation or unpaid days. Please report your days worked accordingly.
Q: What does Neighbourly pay for?
A: Neighbourly will cover the cost of airfare, hotel, and most miscellaneous travel expenses. Personal expenses such as car rental and parking or any additional activities are not covered.
Q: Are my meals and beverages paid for?
A: Food and beverages will be provided through the Conference. Any additional meals/drinks will be considered a personal expense.
Q: How do I pay for my expenses?
A: Please pay for all expenses personally (cash or credit) and submit using an expense report in Chrome River. Expenses without receipts will be disallowed.
Q: Are my flights paid for?
A: Airfare, if applicable, is covered by Neighbourly Pharmacy only using our central booking. Please do not make your own flight arrangements. You will not be reimbursed for any first class, business class or seat upgrades.
Q: Can I book my own flight?
A: No. We have negotiated preferred rates with select airlines and all bookings will be managed by the Event Management Team.
Q: Can I book my own hotel room?
A: No. We have negotiated preferred rates at select hotels and all bookings will be managed by the Event Management Team.
Q: Do I have to share a room?
A: No. All partners will be booked in their own private room.
Q: What if I want to combine the event with an extended stay or vacation?
A: This would be treated the same as any vacation and all additional expenses except for the airfare would be personal.
Q: Can my partner/spouse attend?
A: Yes. Spouses/partners are permitted.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Dress code is business casual. Any events with any specific type of attire will be clearly stated.
Q: Gifts & Gratuities.
A: Employees may accept gifts or entertainment (but never cash) with a value not greater than $200 from customers, contractors, agents, or suppliers of the company. These gifts must not be of the nature that might suggest they are a bribe, incentive, or payoff. All gifts must be reported to head office.
